Following many other Provinces and States in North America, Alberta has recently introduced a sweeping new bill that bans the use of a hand held device while driving. With the new law, drivers who text, type, email, dial, or chat using a prohibited hand-held device could be fined up to $172. Hands free devices are still permitted for experienced drivers.
